Vancouver’s premier event rental company, A & B Partytime Rentals, proudly celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2016. Renowned for being the ultimate “full service” party and corporate event rental company, A & B’s operation includes a 5,000 square foot showroom to view and practice your party set-ups. The staff at A & B walk clients through many aspects of event planning and execution, including delivery, layout, set-up, and off-site kitchen design.
Dan Sebal and Malcolm Sebal
“We look after everything from linens and glasses to kitchen equipment with our large and complete inventory that is continually updated,” says co-owner Daniel Sebal: “Being able to control all aspects of an event allows us to ensure the highest quality of service to our clients”.
While A & B is defined by its excellence and dedication to clean and sparkling inventory, the company is also steeped in family tradition. Daniel and his brother, Malcolm, took over the business in 2006 from their parents Tom and Judy, who successfully managed the company for 17 years.
Aside from being the city’s most esteemed all-service party planners, A & B is also devoted to an easy-on-the-Earth concept and is actively involved in numerous charities and philanthropic activities.
Jolene joined the A & B family in September of 2005. A&B has never been the same since. Jolene has quickly become a favourite contact to have in the bustling hospitality industry of Vancouver.
Jolene started with A & B as a salesperson with a great self-starter character. With her extraordinary grasp of the event business, she moved ahead fast. She now sits as the manger on A & B’s front lines. Jolene has an incredibly contagious charm and gets along with just about everybody.
Jolene stays fit by chasing after her two daughters. She enjoys the music scene in Vancouver. Not much more time for anything else when she’s a Superstar Mom and Superstar Employee!
Angela started with the company in July of 2012. If there was any employee that just “gets it” it is Angela. She is the perfect piece needed to complete the team.
Angela was born in the Philippines and immigrated to Canada when she was just 5. Growing up in Burnaby with 3 siblings, the Cruz household was definitely in need of an organizational professional. Angela is that professional. She has incredible strengths in multi-tasking and dealing with many last-minute pressures.
Her work and school experience speaks volumes. Angela has a diploma in Event Management, is a communications major, and has held a long list of volunteer positions. She also worked for Princess Cruises in a direct customer relations position for 4 years.
Angela can be found watching hockey or reading a great book. She is also a master baker (just ask Dan) and loves Italian food.

As an Event Specialist at A & B, Jen wears many different hats including receiving client orders, drafting contracts, and answering general questions.
Jen holds an Event Marketing certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, as well as a Business Management Diploma from Langara College.
Outside of work, Jen can be found walking the seawall or around Vancouver’s trendy downtown areas. As a self-proclaimed foodie, Jen is also always looking for something new and delicious to try.
Jackie joined the A & B team in the Fall of 2014. Having previously worked in the hospitality industry, Jackie is used to working in a fast-paced environment. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Simon Fraser University with a Double Minor in Business and Music.
Outside of work, Jackie enjoys exploring Vancouver’s exciting culinary scene and especially loves finding the city’s best desserts.
Cecilia started at A & B in August 2018 as our newest Event Specialist. Having previously worked with Starbucks, Topshop, and The Boathouse Restaurant, she has a strong customer service background. Even though the event industry is fast-paced and demanding, Cecilia approaches each task with a great attitude and her smiling face is the first you see when you walk in the door at A & B.
Growing up in East Vancouver, she loves the outdoors – participating in marathons and relays – and is always looking for new adventures. Cecilia also enjoys cooking and is an avid ice cream enthusiast: she currently searching for the best ice cream in town.
Jackson has been with A & B since 2012. He started off cleaning equipment in the warehouse, moved up to running the tenting department, and became Dispatch Manager in 2017. As Malcolm’s right-hand, Jackson ensures that A & B’s trucks and delivery teams are organized and on time each day. Born and raised in East Vancouver, Jackson enjoys travelling, cooking, playing rugby, and watching Game of Thrones.
Following in his brother’s footsteps, Johnny joined the A & B family in 2013. When he is not busy helping Jackson and Malcolm with dispatching trucks, Johnny is out on the road training the newest delivery team members or in the showroom, assisting with customer pick-ups. Outside of A & B, Johnny loves camping, sports, nature documentaries, and travelling with his family.
Having been with the A & B family since 2001, Thuong is one of the company’s longest serving employees. Her role as Warehouse Manager is integral to the smooth day-to-day operations of A & B. Managing the packing of all orders, order returns, and inventory control, Thuong keeps the bustling warehouse organized and on-track.
When Thuong is not overseeing warehouse operations, she is overseeing her busy household operations and taking care of her kids.
Kim started with the A & B family in the Fall of 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UBC with a Double Major in Speech Science and Psychology, as well as a Diploma in Accounting.
Her experience as a volunteer with the Big Sisters of BC program, the Arthritis Society, and UBC Women’s Organization, along with her keen attention to detail has made her a great addition to our team.
When she is not in the office or volunteering, Kim is exploring the best that Vancouver has to offer. She can be found searching the city for hidden shopping gems or planning her next travel adventure.
