What’s New in our Catalogue

At A&B Partytime Rentals, we are always expanding our event rental inventory. Recent new items in our catalogue include our much-anticipated Harvest Tables, a variety of new linens, and much more. Information and photos below.

Harvest Tables: With a wide wood top, the rectangular harvest style table seats 8-10 people and measures 8″ long x 40″ wide. The table adds rustic charm to any event setting, and pairs perfectly with our Vineyard X-Back Chairs.

Geometric Circle Runners: Fun and bold geometric circle patterned table runner, measuring approximately 14″ wide x 108″ long. Comes in Blush, Platinum, and Black.

New to our specialty tablecloth collection are both the Damask Linens and Elliptical Linens. Both linens come in a variety of colours and sizes.

Stemless Riedel Wine Glass: Stemless Riedel Cab/Merlot wine glass, approximately 21 oz.

New Showroom Designs for Spring

This year, March 20th marks the first day of spring, and also the start of a busy and fun-filled event season in Vancouver. Bling Boutique Bridal Show

Yesterday, A&B Partytime Rentals was at the Bling Boutique Bridal Show at the legendary Rosewood Hotel Georgia. 5 Questions with…Jackie Torres, Event Specialist at A&B Partytime Rentals

Meet the people behind A&B that make all the magic happen! Our blog series, “5 Questions with…” introduces our team of event experts. Today’s post features Jackie Torres. Jackie joined the A&B team in the Fall of 2014.  Having previously worked in the hospitality industry, Jackie is used to working in a fast-paced environment.

What does your typical workday look like?

Similar to that of Wonder Woman! 😉 It involves a lot of typing, answering phones, handling client inquiries and occasionally humming random tunes in the showroom when it’s not busy.

What are some of your favourite events that you have worked on?

The Brock House Wedding Show and Crème de la Crème Wedding Show have been some of my favourite events.

What are some new rental items that you are coveting right now?

I love our new Evolution Stoneware, as well as our Crown Gold Flatware.

…lots and lots of food!

If you had an unlimited budget to plan the ultimate event of your dreams, what kind of party would you throw?

I would throw The Ultimate Grammy Awards After Party! Talented artists, delicious food, and entertainment are all a part of my dream party.

Top 3 Tips for Corporate Event Planning

Corporate events such as conferences, tradeshows, or employee recognition events, can require a lot of planning. At A&B Partytime Rentals, we work with businesses and event planners to ensure these events have everything they need to run smoothly. Today, we wanted to share some corporate event planning tips, including examples of rental items regularly used for corporate events.

Determine goals and create a plan

As with most projects, determining goals is often the first step. Ask yourself: What is the event trying to achieve? How will success of the event be measured? Keep these goals in mind throughout the event planning process. Another essential first step is creating a comprehensive event plan that includes every detail from task delegation, deadlines, budgets, and invite management.

Carefully select vendors

From venues, caterers, and of course event rental suppliers, carefully select partners that will help make the event run without a hitch. Regularly communicate updates and changes to your suppliers, and have key contacts handy on the event day.

Make it memorable

What are some ways to leave a lasting impression on attendees? Whether through entertainment, a take-away, or a creative theme, think of ways to make the event really stand out from the rest.

What’s New in our Event Rental Catalogue

At A&B Partytime Rentals, we are always expanding our rental inventory. For 2016, we have added to our Charger Plate collection. Also new to our Catalogue are Bellini Bar Stools and Plexi Podiums and Plexi Bars. Photos and information below.

Event Rentals for New Year’s Eve

Looking for some inspiration for your New Year’s Eve party? How about some glitz, glam and romance? In the table setting featured above, touches of sparkle are added through our Blush Sequin Linen, Votive Glass Hobnails and Mirror Tiles. Contrasting White Chiavari Chairs with Black Chair Pads and a centerpiece Candelabra add some drama.

If you are hosting a cocktail party, here are some essential bar items to keep the drinks flowing:

A cold beverage dispenser that holds about 46 cups (Note: Cannot be used for beverages with fruit pieces/garnish as this may clog the dispenser spout).

You can never have enough ice at a party. See our variety of ice containers, including this ice caddy that can hold up to 100 lbs. of ice.

5 Questions with…Jen Camarador, Event Specialist at A&B Partytime Rentals

Meet the people behind A&B that make all the magic happen! Our blog series, “5 Questions with…” introduces our team of event experts. Today’s post features Jen Camarador. Jen started working at A&B in the spring of 2014. She has a wealth of industry experience, having worked and volunteered with organizations such as the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, The BMW Store and JDRF.

What does your typical workday look like?

We are such a tight-knit group, so we really work as a team and help each other out where and when we can. We process incoming orders, help clients out via phone, email or in person and anything in-between. From data entry to following up on quotes and orders, and even prettying up the showroom, there is always something to do. I love keeping busy and time just flies!

What are some of your favourite events that you have worked on?

I really enjoy creating table designs for wedding shows, as it is also a chance to meet our clients and vendors across the industry.

I also volunteer with JDRF on their annual Rockin’ for Research Gala. Last year’s theme was Venetian Masquerade and they had volunteers dressed in masks and gowns. It is a lot of fun and gratifying to know it is for a great cause.

What are some new rental items that you are coveting right now?

I am a sucker for anything pretty and pink, so I have fallen very much in love with the Blush Sequin Linen and hope to see more colours in the sequin soon.

If you had an unlimited budget to plan the ultimate event of your dreams, what kind of party would you throw?

Being a part of the wedding industry and working on wedding shows, I would definitely want to plan my dream wedding (call me a hopeless romantic!). I have come across so many talented people in this industry, with so many great ideas, how can a girl not dream? Plus, it is not just a day for me, but a day I can celebrate with the people I love most. I have not narrowed down on a theme yet, but I envision lots of flowers, good food and a large variety of desserts!
